The Altai is built around an asymmetrical upper that connects seamlessly to Nidecker and Flow binding straps, eliminating pressure points and ensuring a perfect fit. The Dual Dial BOA® Fit System features textile-coated laces and dual dials that allow you to adjust the top and bottom of the boot separately for ultimate control and comfort.
Underneath the boot, our lightweight B.F.T Gravity 2.0 outsole offers impressive cushioning and traction, with a rubber toe cap for added grip when hiking over ice and rocks. We optimized the connection between the outsole and the boot using a molded section we call the Transition Zone, eliminating the usual hard edge to prevent it from getting caught in the heel cup of your binding.
Inside the Altai is a new heat-moldable Silver liner that allows you to adjust the fit to your liking, but is also comfortable right out of the box. The Altai is a medium-stiffness boot with plenty of lateral support, making it ideal for digging deep tracks in the slopes or gliding through forests with accuracy. An additional layer of high-density EVA supports the deep heel section and anatomical arch of the foot, while more comfortable EVA provides more flexibility at the forefoot. A silicone top-print adds traction to the fleece-lined footbed
This liner has been completely redesigned and has no pressure points; closure is via the cuff attached to the inside of the shell. This also makes the liner easy to put on and take off.
