The GORE-TEX insert with Gore Warm technology, consisting of 38% nylon and 62% ePTFE, provides a waterproof and breathable barrier, repelling moisture and retaining warmth. Whether you're dealing with powder snow or a light rain shower, this mitt will keep your hands dry and comfortable.
The exterior of the mitt is made of a combination of 67% polyester and 33% goatskin leather with Durable Water Repellent (DWR) treatment, making the mitt durable and water resistant. The palm of durable and water-repellent goatskin leather provides not only a natural-feeling grip, but also the durability you need when adjusting your boots and bindings.
The lining of 200g silky soft high pile fleece (100% polyester) embraces your hands with an unprecedented soft feel, making comfort and warmth go hand in hand. The adjustable Velcro closure around the wrist ensures a custom fit and keeps the cold out. The removable elastic wrist leash adds a practical element, allowing you to easily attach the mitt and keep it handy.
Maintenance of Dakine leather mittens is easy. Hand wash with mild soap and warm water, gently squeeze out excess water and let dry. It is not recommended to turn the mittens inside out while cleaning and avoid using a heater or dryer, as this can damage the materials. Dakine recommends treating your leather mittens with Nikwax to maintain waterproofing. Test Nikwax on a small area first before applying to the entire mitt. Apply the product to all leather areas for optimal waterproofing, repeat every 30 days and after washing for best results.
